The Mission of our organization is to assure availability and access to high quality oncology care in our region, and our purpose shall be:
1. To promote excellence and high standards in the care of patients in upstate New York with malignant and hematologic disease. 2. To promote the availability of the best treatments known for malignant and hematologic diseases. To act as a resource to insurers regarding standards of care in medical oncology and hematology. 3. To study, research and exchange information, experiences and ideas leading to improvements in oncology and hematology. 4. To advise the officers of the American Society of Clinical Oncology on matters of importance to the membership.
To that end we are committed to the following vision: - That All Patients will have Access to Medical Practitioners Certified in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cancer and Related Diseases.
- That All Patients will have the Financial, Social, or Spiritual Resources They Need to Fully Utilize the Medical Care Available to them,
- That the Care of the Patient with Cancer will become an Integrated Multi-Disciplinary System,
